How to not lose your mind this holiday season

Hey friends!

HOLY MOLY the holidays are here again.  And wow, things get kicked up this time of year.

I was just talking to a friend of mine about this workshop, and she was telling me how this Thanksgiving she's going to see her brother for the first time in five years.

Five years ago at Thanksgiving they had such a huge fight they stopped talking completely.  Now they're talking again... a little... but this will be the first time they're actually together.

That, plus all the other family dynamics,  means my friend is going into this with a really potent mix of hope and dread.

What are your holidays looking like this year?

Maybe you have your own mix of hope and dread.

If you're spending time with family, there's often a lot of pressure to just go along with what other people want.  Whether that's sitting through uncomfortable interactions at dinner or just not celebrating the way you want to, it can be frustrating, even infuriating.

Maybe everybody stays "nice" or maybe there's some huge blowup.

Either way, you come home feeling like you need a holiday from your holiday.

Or maybe you're alone this year in some painful way.

I remember the first winter after a major break up, I couldn't handle the thought of trying to be cheerful with friends and family, so I decided the smart thing to do that year was rent a cabin in the woods, and spend the holiday alone, by a fire, sipping tea and reading.

Boy, was I wrong.  I spent the first 24 hours crying, and the next six driving home.

Honestly, for me, even on "good years," the holidays have often been really hard.

Sometimes joyful, sometimes full of love, for sure, but almost always pretty hard.

And even when things are going ok, there's all the pressure.

Money pressure might be overwhelming at this time of year.  When money is tight meeting all the expectations of holiday spending adds anxiety and pressure to an already stressful situation.

And then there's the pressure to do things you don't want to do.

And the pressure of fitting the things you do want to do into a packed schedule.

But then there's the joy!

And this can be so real.

I have siblings and nieces I ADORE, and so seeing them at the holidays can be a high point of my year.

I bet there are things you really enjoy about the holidays.

So you  need a plan for making THOSE things happen too.

My "Heart Plan" holiday workshop

The holiday "Heart Plan" is something I have done with my private clients for years, and it's a game changer.

This year, I'm inviting you to join me.  We'll sit down together, and create a plan that reflects your geniune desires and dreads.  hat to be sure you actually take the time to enjoy what you love, and to minimize stress wherever you can.

So these are the essential three steps:

  1. Your Heart Plan first
  2. Your Logistics Plan second
  3. The Blissipline Community support to make it happen

So bottom line...

Sometime you need a little extra support this time of year.  So let's make time for that.

On November 21st, we're going to meet live on Zoom to make a plan.

Not the plan you're already working on:

Where am I going? How I am getting there? What am I buying? (And where can I hide when it all gets too much?)

That's the Step 2 plan, and yes, we'll get to that, but first we're going to do the Step 1 plan.

Step 1 is the Heart Plan that pauses to remember what you really love (and what you honestly kinda hate.)

The plan that tells the truth about what you long for and hope for, and puts that front and center in your mind.

The plan that reminds you about what was a drag in previous holidays, and strategizes for how you can maybe get away with not doing that!

Or if that can't happen, brainstorms about that one thing you can change that will make it more bearable -- and maybe even fun again.

(This part is something I do with clients every year, and it's amazing how changing one little thing can make the whole experience better.)

We'll meet live on Zoom, and no worries, if you can't come live, you'll get the recording within 24 hours.

First, we'll do the plan together in real time, so you take it away with you at the end of the session.

Then --✨ the magical holiday extra ✨ -- you'll get a full month to work with me in the Blissipline Community to actually implement your plan!

The Details

First we meet live

We will meet live on Zoom on Saturday, November 21st, from 1 to 3pm Eastern (New York time).

If you can't make it live, no worries.  The recording will be available within 24 hours.

Bring some way you can make notes that you'll be able to refer to later.

I really like google docs on my laptop, because it's easy to type, and I can access them easily on my phone later, but you might prefer pen and paper.  So you do you, ok?

Together, we'll go through a series of Blissipline prompts to explore and discover your Heart Plan, which is your Step 1 plan.

If you're anything like me, you might not even know what your Heart Plan is until you stop and ask.  Most of us are running on autopilot, just keeping up with our commitments, and there's hardly any room to stop and say, "Wait, but what do I want?"

Once the Heart Plan is in place, we will move on to your Logistics Plan, which is Step 2.

Then you get a month of support

This is where The Blissipline Community comes in.  It's too easy to make a plan and then -- swoosh -- life takes over yet again.

So included with the Heart Plan workshop is a full month of support, so you can put legs on your plan.

You get:

  • Four live weekly calls with me where we can check in on the Plans 1 and 2 to make sure your Heart Plan is still informing the Logistics Plan
  • A dedicated chat where you can ask questions, post your successes and struggles, and get support when the rubber hits the road.
  •  Access to all the tools, teachings, and videos in The Blissipline Resource Center, our online portal.

And when the month is up, ongoing support if you want it.

At the end of the month, if you want to continue in The Blissipline Community, just do nothing and your membership will automatically renew.

Of course, you can cancel at any time.

And don't worry if you forget.  I will refund your most recent payment. I personally HATE that "gotcha" stuff where you get busy, forget to cancel, and then you have to fight for your refund.  I will never do that to you!  Promise.

What if this year, your holidays are the best you can imagine?

It's possible.  Let's make it happen.

Who is Mary Cordelia?

I'm a trauma therapist and the founder of The Blissipline Community.

I've spent the last decade developing my understanding of what ACTUALLY makes people happy, because in my work as a therapist I discovered something that shocked me.

I realized that even though my training taught me how to help people recover from big challenges, like depression, anxiety and trauma, there was this unspoken assumption that once their "problem" was addressed, they knew how to be happy.

But it turns out that's just not true!

In fact kind of the opposite was true.  People could experience powerful healing and get their lives looking a lot like what they had been saying they wanted -- and still feel strangely crappy.  It was like the unhappiness was a habit that was hard to break.

So I started pulling together what I knew about trauma healing with positive psychology, empowerment, mindfulness, and conscious creating, and began teaching these tools to my clients (and practicing them myself).

And that was the trick!  That tipped recovery into joy!

I started calling it Blissipline.

I knew I had to teach it to more people, so in 2015, I launched a free Blissipline group, and started teaching it in there.

In the years since then, we have created a smaller, more intimate group, Continuum, and because we can work so much more deeply and personally in there, we have honed the tools of Blissipline to help address even the most difficult life situations.

In 2026, we added the weekly Practitioners' Circle so we can practice together regularly and build our skills, and the weekly Embers' Circle, so we can connect with one another in our hour of need.

It's now my mission to make these tools and skills widely available, so I can help YOU feel happy and empowered, and use your empowerment to create a better and better life for yourself... for your community... and for the world.

"Mary has a deep commitment to empowering people with practices that offer practical and powerful ways to feel self-acceptance and turn towards self-soothing when you need it most. I love getting personal guidance from Mary and the whole  Blissipline community she creates."

Rhonda Uretzky

"Mary's wonderful wisdom, treatment, and guidance have made a hugely positive impact on my life. She provides all this within the framework of a loving and supportive community. Furthermore she gives you the tools to build your own happiness skills, and shows how to practice that. I am ever so much happier now."

Sounds great, I'm in!

Blissipline Scholarships

It is (always and forever) my commitment to extend scholarship support to anyone who needs it.

I understand that sometimes money is tight.  I have been in that position many times in my life.

I am also aware that sometimes the exchange rate for the US dollar makes my courses inaccessible to people in other countries.

I do not want these to be an obstacle to you joining The Blissipline Community.
